The Brick Rebels Present - Lego TECHNIC 72024 Container Truck Speedbuild and Impressions

Our next Brick Rebels speed build is LIVE!  Brickmaster Gaiden tackles the Lego TECHNIC set 42024 Container Truck

Here is an impression from Brickmaster Gaiden:

" The Lego TECHNIC 42024 Contain Truck is a straight forward build. This is the type of build that has a bit more playability when completed, as there is method for steering and all of the functions can be manually operated. Power functions can be added, with the battery pack having a mount location just behind the cab and the motor underneath, replacing the manual gear rotation. The standard toggle between gear chains is located just below the bed behind the cab on the driver’s side. This allows very easy switching between adjusting the container position and operating the rear stabilizers. The fundamental purpose of the rear stabilizers is to allow ‘dumping’ of the container contents, when down, and unloading the container off of the bed when they are up. The build took right around three hours, and is overall a ‘medium’ technic build in complexity.  "

Here is the blurb on the set from Lego.com:
